Project Description
“Ascend into a world above your own.” Project titled “KUMO”, is an art installation under the direction of Kameron Burke & Kent Yoshimura. Kumo is a piece that is visually and audibly visceral as well as interactive. Giving the audience member an overwhelming feeling of calm, warmth, nerving, suspense, tranquility, and silence. You’re met by a soft yet provocative color palette of feeling and met with a composition headed by Composer Mando Ortega & Guitarist Danny Aguirre.
Tethered with modern light visuals by Jesus Guerro and project mapping by Rabcup. The visuals were met with an array of ear candy synths, bells, and pads. Supported by a thunderous sound and cloud forming low-end. My objective along with Danny was to create and enhance the visually captivating performance by Rabcup and Jesus. There were sequences of “cloud-birth”, rain/storm, snow and of course the silence of night; that brought you to a sense of peace/calm and out of body like experience.
